Ilam University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) is a public medical university located in the city of Ilam in western Iran, officially recognized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran. Founded in the mid-1990s, it serves as the main institution for medical education, healthcare delivery, and research in Ilam Province. The university combines academic training with community health services, integrating education, clinical practice, and public health outreach to meet the needs of the local population. It also publishes its own medical research journal and participates in national and international academic activities.
